Disciplinary Action against Jozef Krop, M.D.

Stephen Barrett, M.D.

In 1998, the Discipline Committee of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (Canada) found Jozef Krop, a Canadian physician, guilty of professional misconduct in that he failed to maintain the standard of practice in the care of six patients whose cases the committee had reviewed. The misconduct included use of a Vegatest device to "screen" and/or to determine how to treat the patients. Krop appealed the decision, but the divisional court ruled against him and his petition to appeal to the Ontario Court of Appeal was denied.
